  • 2 cups roasted oats

  • 5 tbsp jaggery sugar

  • 5 apricots, chopped

  • 12 to 15 roasted almonds, sliced

  • ¼ tsp. clove powder

  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg powder

  • ½ tsp. cinnamon powder

  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence

  • 2 tsp. maple syrup

  • 1 egg

  • 2 apples, diced

  • ½ lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp Nutralite Classic

  • Pinch of salt

Apple

  • Choose fresh, bright, firm textured apples with a pleasant flavour. Avoid apples with marks over their surface.

  • Fresh apples can be kept at room temperature for 2 days and stored in the refrigerator for upto two weeks.

Oats

  • Buy small quantities of oats at one time since this grain has a slightly higher fat content than other grains and will go rancid more quickly. Also, in a packed container, make sure there is no evidence of moisture.

  • If you purchase prepared oatmeal products such as oatmeal, look at the ingredients to ensure that the product does not contain any salt, sugar or other additives.
