Bread Pudding baked with whole wheat bread and topped with maple syrup.

½ litre milk
1 ½ tsp. custard powder
5 tbsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. vanilla essence
¼ tsp. cinnamon powder
4 slices of whole wheat bread
2 tbsp. Nutralite Classic
5 to 6 dried figs, soaked and chopped
1 tbsp. black raisins
In a deep pan, add milk, custard powder, maple syrup and mix well. Make sure there are no lumps left.
Now, switch on the gas at medium high flame and keep stirring the mixture continuously.
Add vanilla essence, cinnamon powder, stir continuously and let it thicken.
While the milk comes to a boil, take a whole wheat bread, with the help of the brush apply Nutralite Classic on both the side of the bread, do it for all the slices.
With the help of the sharp knife, cut the bread into the small pieces.
Check the custard, whether it has turned thick which usually takes around 10 to 12 minutes.
Once thickened, shut the gas off.
Now, in a large bowl, add figs, black raisins, custard and let the bread soak into the custard.
Then, transfer the mixture into the ramekins.
Pre heat the oven for 10 to 20 minutes.
Place the ramekins into the baking tray and put it into to pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, take out the baking tray, garnish the bread pudding with some maple syrup and serve.
